We shift consciousness now, as witness to visual narrative. We indulge recollection, improvisation, and even fantasy to make sense of our encounter. Our shift is temporal, from the eternal present of living into realms of once upon a time. Images mark our departure.
Some of us enter through a window, some through a mirror, others through a door which closes as we pass. We may breach emotional fortress, summit into otherworldly loft, visit labyrinth, or encounter a doppelgänger. All that we access in order to abide here unfolds as a unique capacity to suspend disbelief.
No image exists without our engagement: Every image is a self portrait. Our process of entry into the flourish and patois of representation, our extension and (re)order of consciousness, may be re-inscribed as an arts-punctuated inquiry.
